The DOLA award is presented by Diversity Best Practices annually to those individuals who innovate, inspire, and work above and across corporate borders to strengthen and grow the entire diversity sector. We honor top diversity thought leaders who generously and unselfishly share wisdom and best practices. Marie Andel is senior vice president of the people & performance division of AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah (NCNU). AAA NCNU, the second-largest AAA affiliate, provides auto, home and life insurance; legendary emergency roadside assistance; travel and automotive services; and a host of member benefits to its approximately 4 million members.

Ms. Andel, who began her career with AAA in 1991 as a claims adjuster, is responsible for leading the company's efforts in corporate culture and communication; talent management; leadership development; and employee benefits and services, such as wellness, rewards & recognition and pension programs. In addition, she also has responsibility for managing the human-resources aspects of the company's subsidiaries and acquisitions.

She established AAA University, the company's learning organization, and played key roles in the annual employee engagement survey and action plans, the addition of diversity as an enterprise value and the establishment of a 12-council regional diversity council structure. She is a champion of the company's award-winning volunteer program and a member of the Council of Communication Management.

Ms. Andel earned a B.A. in English from San Francisco State University and has a certification from Mager Associates' training manager program.

Nancy Reardon is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer and is responsible for overseeing the global human resources and communications functions for Campbell Soup Company and its 23,000 employees. Prior to joining Campbell, Nancy served as Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Comcast Cable Communications, Inc. Before that, she was Partner and Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, for Borden Capital Management Partners, where she directed the human resources, government affairs, and communications functions for a portfolio of operating companies held by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. in the food and chemical industries.

Nancy is a member of the board of directors and the compensation and audit committees of The Warnaco Group, Inc. She also is a board member of The Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. Nancy is a member of the Human Resources Planning Society, the Personnel Round Table, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Pennsylvania Women's Forum, and the Forum of Executive Women. A graduate of Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., Nancy holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology with honors. She earned her master of science degree in social psychology from Syracuse University.

Deborah A. Taylor is Director, Global Diversity and Inclusion of Deere & Company. In her position at John Deere, Taylor is responsible for managing the company's global diversity and inclusion programs, and provides diversity consulting and assessment services to John Deere's global business units. She also manages diversity/inclusion initiatives, including the John Deere global employee networks, and mentoring and training to support employee development and retention. Taylor also has responsibility for management of the company's external relations with diverse customers and organizations as identified in the new emerging global markets.

In 2007, Taylor received the Outstanding Leader Award from SECME (Southeast Consortium of Minorities in Engineering) and presented at the World Diversity Leadership Summit.

This role is responsible for the corporate groups leading the global organizations for Diversity, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Organization Performance, Employee/Organization Assessment/Research and Data, Employee Communications and Business Ethics and Compliance for the 140,000 employees.

Most recently, Maxine was Director, Human Resources for Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals (P&GP) and Personal Health (PH).

In her role as Director, Maxine was directly responsible for the 5500 P&GP employees worldwide and reported to the president of the division. In addition, Maxine led the global business strategy for productivity in the 25,000 member Procter & Gamble Family Health Care Global Business Unit reporting to the president and vice-chair of the board of directors for this responsibility.

Maxine started her career with Procter and Gamble in 1974 in manufacturing. She held positions in various businesses and functions in P&G throughout her career. For example, she held roles in manufacturing, sales, finance, corporate human resources, commercial retail teams and global business units.

Outside Procter & Gamble, Maxine works with non-profit organizations and government agencies on leadership, effective teams, improved operations, strategic planning, organization design and renewal and inclusive management approaches. As a speaker, Maxine is recognized in the areas of leadership, women/minority development, team development and organization effectiveness.

Maxine has been recognized with awards from groups as diverse as the United States Postal Service, the American Red Cross, Salvation Army Boys-Girls Clubs, and the Governor of North Carolina for the Future Focus committee.

Maxine is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. degree in Industrial Relations. A native of Wilmington, North Carolina, Ms Brown-Davis and her husband Dr. Derick Davis Jr. reside in Cincinnati, OH. The recently blended family has 7 children and 5 grandchildren.

Emilio Egea is vice president of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer of Prudential Financial, Inc.

In this position, Emilio is responsible for the development of strategies, tools and interventions including a strategic data capability to leverage Equal Opportunity and Diversity, ensuring this work is an integral part of business planning and implementation. In addition, he is responsible for the Employee Opinion Survey, Data and Work/Life functions. Emilio has over 20 years of experience in management and has been with Prudential since 1998. Joe Santana is a business operations executive who's been with Siemens for ten years where he's held a number of exciting and challenging roles. For example, he was the New York and New Jersey IT Outsourcing Area Director for Siemens business services' company where he successfully managed a 45 million dollar a year business portfolio with a staff of 300 people. Prior to Siemens, Joe ran IT Operations for a number of the top Wall Street firms and outsourcing organizations. In his current role at as the Senior Director of Diversity for Siemens USA, Joe has applied his business experience towards supporting the Presidents of Siemens divisions in the USA in the creation of diversity strategies designed to make Siemens one of the most broadly competitive employers of choice and business partners.

In a parallel career spanning more than 17 years, Joe has been a thought leader in the area of management having authored thousands of published articles and books. His ideas have been quoted in several other books including the worldwide best-seller "The World is Flat."
