CRITERIA OF THE CEO DIVERSITY LEADERSHIP AWARD

The criteria for the awards have been carefully determined and reviewed with your staff:

• Leader for diversity through outstanding corporate initiatives
• Visionary for today and for tomorrow
• Commitment to diversity establishing a "Living Legacy"
• Special recognition of the community and philanthropic support

 

Further leadership initiatives we review include overall leadership with
the following:

• Signing a mission statement
• Providing Policy support and initiatives
• Ensuring top management support
• Board make-up and board support
• Working with your Diversity Officer
• Chairing or leadership in the Diversity Council
• Reviewing diversity reports on a periodic basis with most senior corporate management
• Supporting diversity goals with measurement
• Supporting career development programs
• Endorsing diversity within an incentive or even bonus system
• Supporting succession planning and championing
• Supporting mentoring including top management participation
• Supporting employee networks or affinity groups
• Participating in diversity awards
• Speeches on diversity
• Attending diversity events
• Being a philanthropic and community champion of diversity
